Programs of Metal Machining Industry, Programs of Materials and Manufacturing Processes, and Programs of Traditional Machining Industry are the three critical programs in Far East University, Tainan, Taiwan (R.O.C.). Our school aims to provide an excellent education for students and make them equipped with the creative thinking and problem solving abilities. Therefore, we have achieved honorable performance in the professional realms of invention. In the period from 2003 to 2016, we have won 3,736 patent rights both globally and locally and ranked as the first winner among nation-wide universities. During the 2010~2016 period, our number of the past cases for the industry-university cooperative research projects proposed by Ministry of Science and Technology have been ranked as the first one among all nationwide universities of science and technology. During the 2015~2016 period, our number of the past cases has been ranked as the first one among all nationwide private universities of science and technology.
